There are a number of factors that a residence in Arizona is a objective for a lot of individuals and households. From the gorgeous Grand Canyon in the north to the high Sonoran desert of central Arizona to the spectacular saguaro forests of Tucson and southern Arizona, Arizona boasts a wealth of diverse climates, seasons and amenities. Combine that with stabilizing actual estate values, hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, magnificent urban mountain ranges, year-round outdoor living, and a lot of sports and entertaining choices, and it’s simple to see why Arizona is undoubtedly a fantastic place to purchase a home and to live, work and do company.

According to the Arizona Office of Tourism, Arizona is roughly divided into three geological zones: the deserts of the south and west, the mountainous central highlands, and the northern Colorado Plateau, named for the eons-old river that carved the Grand Canyon. Diversity inside those divisions, such as ten,000-foot-high mountains in the south and volcano-created plains in the central highlands, make it a generalization to say that southern Arizona is only hot in summer and northern Arizona is only cold in winter. Nonetheless, for those seeking to buy a home, land or real estate in Arizona, that is a generic rule of thumb to go by.

Arizona’s two largest metropolitan areas – Greater Phoenix (which includes Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Carefree and Arizona State University in Tempe) and Higher Tucson (which contains the Oro Valley, Marana and the University of Arizona near downtown Tucson) lie in the state’s southern sector. If your heart is set on a warm climate, the central and southern places of Arizona will undoubtedly appeal the climate is ideal for indoor/outdoor living and entertaining and is undoubtedly a sports-lover’s paradise, boasting a plethora of year-round championship golf courses, tennis gardens and pro-sports teams. In addition, nearly everyone enjoys having a backyard pool and spa, which can be created as a simple and serene getaway or as a lavish resort-style oasis flaunting conversation fire-pits, blazing fire-pots, cascading boulder waterfalls, sensuous slides and lush tropical foliage.

Meanwhile, Northern Arizona stands out for the Grand Canyon, Canyon de Chelly, the slot canyons near Page, and the series of flooded canyons that became Lake Powell. The region’s other distinctive features include the awe-inspiring Painted Desert and the striking buttes and spires of Monument Valley.

Miles away, north-central Arizona is host to the majestic red-rock cliffs and mesas of Sedona, Northern Arizona University and Flagstaff, the impressive Mogollon Rim, and so much more. All of these northern places have four separate seasons, including flower-filled springs and not-too-hot summers awash with warm, sunny days. In fall, the weather is most often colorful, crisp and clear, while winter brings snowstorms ranging from light dustings to ski-worthy accumulations.

In college hoops, there are over 300 teams that play Division I basketball. And, unlike football, all of the teams have a opportunity to play for the National Championship in April. But like football, most of the national attention is given to the Huge Six conferences. The attention is deserved it is been given that that outstanding 1990 UNLV Runnin’ Rebels team that someone from a non-BCS conference won the national title.

The lines are a lot sharper in those Big Six conference games simply because of the vast amounts of information the public has when it comes to those teams. Believe me, it’s tough to make a living beating the books by only playing key conference college basketball games. And by the time April rolls around you’ll probably be seeking at a brief stack.

Even so, there is a lot of income to be made by playing the mid-major conferences, specifically some of the far more obscure ones. If you dig deep and do your homework you can truly gain a sizeable benefit over square bettors by becoming an professional in some of the lesser-known leagues. In this write-up, we’re going to try to shed some light on an area of the college basketball landscape that not too numerous widespread bettors wander: the Large Sky Conference. And in particular we’re going to break down one team from the Massive Sky that is been filling up scoreboards and stat sheets, the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.

This team from Flagstaff, Arizona is one of my favorite teams to play on as a handicapper with Doc’s Sports. In their 15 games this season they’ve scored over 90 points 5 occasions and have cracked the century mark on three occasions. The Lumberjacks played a brutal non-conference schedule that included games against Kansas, Arizona, Arizona State and UNLV. They actually went into Tempe and beat their in-state rivals, the Sun Devils, on Nov. 13, 75-71. Also, they are almost unstoppable at The SkyDome, the exact same creating where the NAU football team plays and exactly where the Arizona Cardinals host their coaching camp. The Lumberjacks have been beaten just when at SkyDome, losing to Weber State in a game that NAU in fact led at halftime.

In contrast to their tough nonconference slate, the Lumberjacks have in fact been really fortunate with their Massive Sky schedule. Their very first four league games had been at property and here at Doc’s we’ve been in a position to money in with the Jacks in three of those four contests. We’ve been partial to them in portion since of the reality that their offense scores at such a high rate that they’re able to cover some monster numbers. They play a lot of guys – eight players typical 15 minutes per game – and they enjoy to get up and down the court.

Balance is the crucial for this squad, with Ruben Boykin top the team in points with just more than 16 per game. The 6-feet-7 forward does significantly of his harm inside and is the model of consistency, scoring in double figures twelve straight occasions. Tyrone Bazy, a senior guard from Texas that likes to beat his opponents off the dribble, is the main man on the perimeter. He has truly come on of late, scoring 57 combined points in his last two conference games, and single handily earned us the victory against Eastern Washington last Saturday by shooting 71 percent from the field and 92 percent from the charity stripe. The balance of this team continues with four players averaging about double figures. All of this has allowed the Lumberjacks to be electric on offense, averaging more than 81 points per game. And that quantity contains the Kansas game in which the Jacks managed just 57 points.

With such an outstanding team on offense, it may appear to some that this team would in no way lose, but that is not the case as they presently sit at 8-7 on the season. The tradeoff for scoring so many points is that their defense suffers. They lead the conference in turnovers, averaging more than 19 per game. This is an astonishing number, considering they typical just 18 assists per game. They play a gambling style of defense and already have over 100 steals on the young season. Nevertheless, when they miss their opportunity it leads to easy baskets for the opposition. A ideal example of this style is their game against Eastern Washington. NAU shot 60 percent from the field – such as a exceptional 73 percent from behind the arc – but only won the game by 8 points, 109-101.

Northern Arizona is one of my preferred teams to watch and you can anticipate to see their games as selections for the remainder of the year. This is a team you want to play at the SkyDome and play against when they are on the road. I would never ever play the under with them, regardless of how high the total is. Hopefully, we can continue to hit 75 percent on them!

Doc’s Sports is your one-cease shop for all your college basketball betting wants. We have gotten off to an additional very good start to this season and we will be going with our, “Underdog Game of the Year” this Saturday, Jan. 13.

by justinrudisille

In the heart of Tucson, AZ there was a lot reason for celebration this year. The Wildcats had a very good season, ending 8-5 (7-5 normal season and 5-four conference play), starting with a lop-sided 70- beating of Idaho and a 41-16 win against Toledo. This was also the initial season in practically a decade that the University of Arizona even went to a bowl game. They defeated Brigham Young University 31-21 in the Las Vegas Bowl. The Wildcats went on to finish the season fifth in the Pac ten conference.

More than the last couple of years University of Arizona Head Coach Mike Stoops has been fired up in the course of the recruiting season. Two years ago Stoops accused Oregon of stealing his recruits at the last minute, and last year he was reported as saying state rival Arizona State was a “Junior College” among other points following losing 3 recruits to the Sun Devils. Despite getting a recruiting class that ranked seventh in the Pac-ten and about 50th nationally, the Arizona Coach was not taking any shots at anybody.

Stoops joking mentioned, “I have not attacked anybody and I’m not obtaining attacked. I am not as defensive as I have been in the past. I guess winning cures all ills, even with me.” The first winning season in ten years and the fact that Stoops was also given a three year contract extension most likely helped to calm him in the course of the arduous recruiting method.

The newly level headed Stoops admits he didn’t get every person he wanted, but with the season opener against Central Michigan coming up in six months, he has a lot of time to mold his new talent. The highlight of the recruiting season for the University of Arizona was Parade All-American Safety Adam Hall. They also got two spread choice tailback specialists in Daniel Jenkins and Kylan Butler.

With Arizona school-record quarterback Willie Tuitama graduating, the Wildcats have a 4 man battle to fill his shoes. Pac-ten receiving record holder Mike Thomas’ absence has also been filled with the signing of Junior College transfer Travis Cobb from Blinn College and DeWayne Peace of South Grand Prairie, Texas.

The top recruits for the Wildcats show promise that Arizona will continue to grow. Adam Hall will play safety, but in high school Hall was extremely versatile and played receiver, running back, safety and returned kicks in his senior year on his way to scoring 38 touchdowns. Tailback Daniel Jenkins of Moreno Valley, Ca is a 5-foot-9, 187-pound operating back who has shown he can rush for 1,000 yards in a season, but a lot more crucial for the Wildcat offense, he has shown that he can catch out of the backfield, with 212 yards and 3 touchdowns against St. John Bosco this season. Even so, Arizona is nonetheless young at Tailback and he may have to be red shirted this year. Trevor Erno from Lakewood, Ca is a bruising linebacker that had 128 tackles and five.five sacks this season. Erno had committed last year but that did not stop UCLA and California coaches from going to his school to try to recruit him. The Wildcats should be in a position to make an additional bowl game this season.
